Header: Childhood Immunization Information for Parents

The North Carolina Immunization Branch offers important information concerning your child's immunizations. Children in North Carolina are required to receive vaccinations against ten different diseases by the time they enroll in kindergarten.

Most vaccine-preventable diseases are rare in the United States due to the success of vaccinations. If we stopped vaccinating, diseases that are nearly under control today would return. More children would get sick and more would die.

Know what vaccines your child needs and keep them up-to-date.
