Header: Information for Adults

Immunizations are not just for kids! Adults need vaccinations for diseases like hepatitis B, shingles, tetanus, chickenpox, influenza and pneumococcal disease. Adults over the age of 50 and other adults in high risk groups need specific immunizations every year. Protecting your health is a life-long responsibility; getting the vaccinations you need as an adult will help keep you healthy. Talk with your physician or immunization nurse at your local health department to determine what vaccinations you may need. Stay healthy and active!

The North Carolina Immunization Branch and The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence team up each year to bring you the North Carolina Flu Clinic Finder. This database contains a listing of many of the flu clinics being offered across North Carolina. All you have to do is enter your zip code and click 'submit'; it will provide a list of clinics within 50 miles of your home. It is activated every year beginning in October.

For more information regarding adult immunizations, please contact or email the Immunization Branch.
